On fiction and interpretation (Mel Ulm on “The Passions of Sophie Byrant”)

It’s always a strange feeling when people write about your work – yet I’m often curious to see how stable (- or not!-) that bridge is between reader interpretation and authorial intention.

Blogger and Reader Mel Ulm has published hundreds of blog posts on short stories, novels and novellas and has a particular interest in Irish writers.

He has published his thoughts on my story “The Passions of Sophie Bryant” and you can read the story online in Number Eleven Magazine
